D-Deltec Multi-Function Top Up Systems

Within a saltwater of fresh water aquarium evaporation is constantly occurring. Evaporation from a saltwater system will gradually increase the salinity of the aquarium water and create a potentially stressful situation for its inhabitants. The new D-Deltec top up systems are simple to use and will remove the daily chore of manual replacement of evaporated water. Each model consists of a transformer/controller which allows the system to operate safely at low voltage, a fully adjustable magnetic float switch with universal clamp and snail guard and one of three optional control devices.
Option 1. - RUW12LVP This unit is supplied complete with a low voltage top-up pump and a length of clear hose which fits into the float switch control block. The pump is placed in the freshwater reservoir and supplies water to the sump or aquarium. Note that the maximum head on the pump is 1-1.2m for top up purposes.
Option 2. - RUW230MO This model is fitted with a 230V mains outlet socket to allow any pump or piece of equipment to be added to it. Ideal for topping up over longer distances or greater heads than is possible with option 1.
Option 3. - RUW12LVS This option comes supplied complete with a solenoid valve to allow you to control water direct from an RO Unit or to feed by gravity from a raised reservoir. Word of Caution: If you intend to operate the solenoid directly from an RO unit we would recommend that a timer is placed between the controller and the mains supply to limit the possible risk of flooding the aquarium with fresh water due to a blockage or to the float sticking. We would suggest that you download and read the instructions that are provided for the kalkwasser stirrer which will provide additional details of this.
Deltec Aquastat Top-Up Systems
The Deltec Aquastat systems have been operated successfully for many years and offer a range which is slightly more expensive than the multifunction product but is more sophisticated and includes complete systems with reservoirs mains voltage pumps and plug bar controller as supplied with the Deltec aquariums.
Stand alone Top-Up Units 90100 Aquastat Type A - supplied with a universal bracket for sump or tank mounting. 90101 Aquastat Type P - supplied with a stand for freestanding in a sump. 90102 Aquastat Type I - For internal filter Type 31/35.

Note that the items marked with a * are supplied with a thermal cut out system to protect the pump should the sump run dry.
